Health and Wellbeing in the Latrobe Valley

Background:

The Latrobe Health Assembly has been created to identify and address gaps in Health and Wellbeing within the Latrobe Valley.

Statistics show that the Latrobe Valley isn’t the worst for health and wellbeing but there are definitely improvements that can be made in areas such as smoking, drug and alcohol addiction, domestic violence and obesity.

Our goal is to create lasting initiatives that will address these health concerns over the next 10 years with our dream being to improve the health and wellbeing of 10,000 people in 10 years.

Strong community involvement is needed to make the dream come true. To take part all you have to do is respond to one or all of the interactive tools below. This will give us feedback on those areas in which you think the Latrobe Valley could be performing better, any ideas you may have on how we can address health issues and any experiences you have had within this space in the Latrobe Valley.

We have several interactive tools to enable your feedback (below) which include:

  • A survey regarding health and wellbeing in the Latrobe Valley as it relates to you
  • An ‘Ideas’ tool where you can provide suggestions for projects, initiatives or large scale industry improvements in the Latrobe Valley. No idea is too small, too large or too silly!
  • A general forum where you can tell us your thoughts and feelings on health and wellbeing within the Latrobe Valley. Your feedback could be about your personal experiences, those of a friend or family member or simply issues you feel are relevant.
    • do not include names of other people
    • only express the facts of the situation that you are aware of
    • stay on topic. Remember we are asking for information about health and wellbeing within the Latrobe Valley.
